The Dooher Institute of Physics and Energy is a small independent research organization, incorporated in Delaware, registered in New York State on 9 May 2001 and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as exempt under section 501(c)(3) with a ruling date of July 2001. Its address of record is in Kailua, Hawaii; it was located in Garden City, New York during the years of its documented research participation. What the Institute does

Participation in funded research projects
The Institute was a named team member on the project Liquid CO2 Slurry for Feeding Low Rank Coal (LRC) Gasifiers, announced by the U.S. Department of Energy on 9 September 2011 and led by the Electric Power Research Institute. The team also included Worley Parsons Group, Columbia University and ATS Rheosystems/REOLOGICA. The Institute was a team member, not the award recipient. Project record.
Publication
Research carried out or co-authored by the Institute’s founder has been published in Physical Review, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review D, Physical Review A, Nuclear Physics B, Fuel, Atomization and Sprays, the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Optical Engineering, the ASME Journal of Energy Resources Technology, and in the proceedings of the Clearwater coal and clean-energy conference series. The Institute appears as an author affiliation on the 2022 Clearwater paper and on the Adelphi-hosted paper on physio-chemical modeling of coal and coal/biomass slurries. Publications index.
